Arauco is going to have partnership with Sonae Indústria’s European and SAPO

Sonae Indústria, parent company of Tafisa Canada, announced it has entered into a joint partnership with Inversiones Arauco Internacional, Limitada to sell its European and South African wood-based panels, chemicals and paper impregnation production facilities.
The 50/50 venture excludes Sonae North America operations (Tafisa Canada) and the laminates and components business. The new venture will be named Sonae Arauco, S.A. and is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2016.
