Women of Woodworking (WOW), a dedicated group of women woodworking professionals indulge into involving and encouraging women participation in wood products manufacturing. This year they will make their presence feel at AWFS luncheon July 18.
“WOW provides a safe haven for women to discuss challenges, opportunities, and successes in their jobs. Networking is the key to the success of the group and sharing resources.” The Women of Woodworking (WOW!) group was formed at the 2015 show. This was a proud moment for everyone associated with the industry, celebrating amazing women grow every show cycle.
The group included 15 members representing from the cabinet, furniture, machinery, hardware, and media companies. Today, the group has expanded to more than 60 members and meets annually at big industry events. The group also met in May at the LIGNA 2019.
