The new Format-4 CNC machining center creator 950 of the Felder Group was chosen for the most groundbreaking product of the year at the International Woodworking Fair (IWF) Atlanta. The IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award® honors outstanding companies at the International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta, USA, who drive forward industrial progress through the development of innovative technologies. A board of ten high-level technology experts reviewed and assessed the 72 submitted innovations at the Woodworking Fair.
“By inventing the Format-4 creator 950 our main goal was to take a closer look to the traditional CNC processing from on other point of view. We wanted to combine different processing applications from interior through to doors with processing the workpiece from above and a 4 sided formatting as standard. Additionaly dowel inserting in “X” direction, simple loading a footprint of only 5m2 and various options make the machine attractive and innovative at the same time. Winning the Challenger Award 2018 at the IWF exhibition in Atlanta the Felder Group appreciate that our latest and innovative machine the creator 950 has been recognized. All the hard work for the last couple of years paid off and especially it is a high degree of motivation for the whole Felder Group team worldwide which was working on the machine and brought a simple and risky idea to this stage.
