FPAC Launches Search for New CEO

 Tuesday, June 2, 2015

fpac-logo-2014The Board of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) is launching an executive search for a new President and CEO.

The current office-holder, David Lindsay, has announced his intention to move on by the end of 2015 to return to the Toronto area to be closer to his family. Lindsay has led FPAC since 2012 and worked to position the sector as an environmentally friendly renewable resource industry that is innovative and globally competitive. “We appreciate that David has given us advance notice of his intentions so we can conduct a thorough search and proper transition as we move to the next phase of our association,” says the Chair of the Board of FPAC, Curt Stevens, CEO of LP.“I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and opportunities of being part of one of Canada’s great industries over the past three years,” says Lindsay. “I look forward to working closely with the Board over the coming months to make sure FPAC is in a strong position going forward.”

FPAC provides a voice for Canada’s wood, pulp, and paper producers nationally and internationally in government, trade, and environmental affairs. The $58-billion-a-year forest products industry represents 2% of Canada’s GDP and is one of Canada’s largest employers operating in hundreds of communities and providing 235,000 direct jobs across the country.
