Huntsman to take part at CPI Polyurethanes 2015 Technical Conference

LOGOHuntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) announced that its Polyurethanes Division will be sponsoring and participating in several tracks at The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry’s (CPI) Polyurethanes 2015 Technical Conference, taking place from Oct 5 to 7 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Fla.

 

The mission of the CPI conference is to provide polyurethanes industry leaders and professionals with an opportunity to learn about the latest research, technical developments and business issues affecting the global polyurethanes industry.

 

This year, Huntsman will be sponsoring and/or participating in the following tracks:
• Monday, Oct. 5, at 2:30 p.m.
Flexible Foams: “Benchmarking Sleep Comfort for Bedding Industry”
Presenter: Yun-Shan Liu
Room: Miami 1-3
• Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 4 p.m.
Automotive: “New, Non-Separating, Low Tg, Molded Viscoelastic Foam System”
Presenter: Evan Cheolas
Room: Sun 3-4
• Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 4 p.m.
Chemistry & Fundamentals: “Some Interactions of Isocyanates and Polyurethanes with Metal Surfaces”
Presenter: Chris Phanopoulos
Room: Sun 5-6

 

“CPI is widely regarded as an advocate for promoting new developments and market applications in polyurethanes technology,” said Steve Burns, Vice President Americas, Huntsman Polyurethanes. “We are very pleased to be playing such a significant role in this year’s conference and doing our part to advance the polyurethanes industry.” he concluded.

 

Huntsman’s David Shieh and Matt Nguyen will be presenting “TEROL Polyols for HFO Blowing Agents” as part of the CPI’s poster session. Additionally, Huntsman Polyurethanes will showcase its continuous commitment to product stewardship, highlighting the release of the “2015-2016 Huntsman Polyurethanes-Americas: Safe Handling and Use Toolkit” at Booth 401, during all three days of the event. Huntsman, along with fellow CPI Steering Committee members, will also co-sponsor the industry reception on Monday, Oct. 5.
