Microvellum to introduce new Design technology in KBIS 2017

 Thursday, December 22, 2016

micro-1Microvellum Inc., a leading cabinet design to manufacturing software provider, specializing in AutoCAD based CAD/CAM/CIM technologies, today announced that they will be showcasing their new Fluid Designer software at the upcoming KBIS 2017 trade show in Orlando, Florida on January 10 to 12, 2017.

“We have seen our software make great leaps in the past few years. Our AutoCAD-based technology and ERP tools have grown and are revolutionizing the way our customers work. However, believe it or not, it’s only going to get better.” Says David Fairbanks, Director of Operations for Microvellum, Inc.

“Our team is gearing up to unveil the latest release of our Fluid Designer software at the upcoming trade show in Orlando, Florida. This ground-breaking technology is connecting one of the world’s leading visualization technologies to the design and manufacturing intelligence of Microvellum… I can tell you, it may change your world” David added further.

Microvellum’s Fluid Designer design platform utilizes Blender for the design engine, an open source 3D creation suite that supports modeling, animation, simulation, rendering, motion tracking and video editing.  Fluid Designer provides users with tools and components specifically for interior design and includes a robust frameless / face frame cabinet and closet product library. Along with the customizable product library, one can also design realistic interiors that include popular fixtures and accessories from Viking, Wolf, Kohler, Moen, Sherwin Williams and more. Once rooms are finalized, all products, including fixtures and components, can be exported as buy out items to be purchased from a preferred vendor.

micro-2“A major advantage of Fluid Designer is the easy-to-use 3D design interface. Not only is the UI user-friendly, it’s fast. Switching up the design on-the-fly, making changes to door styles, cabinet types, wall colors, flooring is so easy – why would you want to restrict yourself to 2D?”

“We created a tool that is not only a superior front-end design tool, it’s an amazing total solution for businesses that need a quick design-to-quote tool, as well as a complete manufacturing solution. Whether you use a table saw or automated CNC machines, we have you covered.” He concluded.

Fluid Designer offers an open architecture UI allowing users to customize not only the cabinetry and room components, but also the design interface and sales workflows for users and customers. The Fluid Designer platform also provides users with the ability to streamline their design to manufacturing workflow.
