Sawlog prices decreased with 4 per cent in the second quarter of 2013 compared to the prior quarter. Pulpwood prices were unchanged compared to the prior quarter.
Sawlog prices decreased by 4 per cent in the second quarter of 2013 compared to the prior quarter. Pulpwood prices were unchanged compared to the prior quarter. Sawlog prices decreased in Southern Region by 3 percent and in Central Region and in the Northern Region sawlog prices decreased by 3 and 6 percent respectively.
Pulpwood prices rose by 1 per cent in the Southern Region, while prices decreased by 1 percent in Central Region and by 3 per cent in Northern Region.
When comparing the second quarter of 2013 and the same quarter of 2012, both sawlog prices and pulpwood prices decreased by 8 per cent.
