Roseburg and PotlatchDeltic jointly acquire MDF plant in El Dorado, Ark

Roseburg Forest Products and PotlatchDeltic Corporation (NASDAQ:PCH) successfully completed their purchase and sale of the assets of PotlatchDeltiv subsidiary Del-Tin Fiber LLC, a medium density fiberboard (MDF) plant situated in El Dorado, Ark. On December 2018, the two companies signed an agreement as per the final due diligence and regulatory approval.

 

 

“The El Dorado MDF plant serves as the third point in Roseburg’s North American MDF manufacturing triangle and will play a key role in our continued expansion into the market,” Roseburg President and CEO Grady Mulbery said. He further added, “It is located in a region with a healthy wood basket and a robust history of wood products manufacturing. El Dorado MDF is already a profitable operation, and we look forward to seeing what the plant and its employees will do with further investment under long-term ownership.”

 

 

Team Roseburg is growing their business steadily, and this is the third plant bought by the company in the past four years. The company acquired, the El Dorado MDF in 2019, in 2018 Pembroke MDF in Eastern Ontario, Canada and an MDF plant in Medford in 2015. Mike Covey CEO, PotlatchDeltic concluded that El Dorado MDF employees are dedicated, and Roseburg is the leader in MDF production. He further added the PotlatchDeltic will emphasize on two sawmills as well as acquired half a million acres of timberland in 2018 by merging with Potlatch and Deltic.
