In this exclusive interview, Ingo Bathe from IMOS shares exciting updates from AWFS 2025 in Las Vegas. For the first time, IMOS is showcasing its innovations, including cloud-based tools like iX Scout, new nesting features, and seamless integrations with ERP and POS systems. Serving industries like kitchen cabinets, furniture, and millwork companies, IMOS helps automate processes from design to production. Focused on sustainability and efficiency, IMOS is advancing cloud-based solutions and automation to stay competitive, while also expanding its reach in North America and South America.

Wood & Panel: We’re here at AWFS 2025 in Las Vegas, and I’m with Ingo Bathe from IMOS. Ingo, how are you?

Ingo Bathe (IB): We’re doing great today, thanks! It’s nice to be here. Great to see you around as well.

Wood & Panel: It’s good to see you too! This time, IMOS has its own booth here in Vegas. Could you share the latest developments?

IB: Yes, that’s right. We’re exhibiting for the first time at the AWFS show in Vegas. The first day has been quite successful for us. We’ve seen a lot of customer interest and received numerous leads. It’s been great talking to customers about the tools we’ve developed for the market. We’re not only focusing on CAD/CAM solutions but also our cloud-based tools, like iScout. We’ve also launched new nesting features that are getting positive attention. Additionally, we’ve integrated solutions from point-of-sale systems to factory operations and ERP systems, helping to automate processes.

Wood & Panel: That’s fantastic. What industries in North America are using your products?

Wood & Panel: That’s a very good question. We serve a broad range of industries, including kitchen cabinet makers, furniture manufacturers, and millwork companies. These companies appreciate a tool that allows them to design and convert their customer orders into approval-ready drawings. With IMOS, they can manage everything from calculations to quotations, rendering, and, of course, integrate with machines for automated production.

Wood & Panel: How is IMOS addressing sustainability in terms of automation and production?

IB: Since IMOS is one of the few providers in the market based on a database structure, it’s quite easy for us to connect to various databases, ensuring compatibility and simplifying the workflow. After the installation and integration of our tools, we use our iBots to synchronize orders with ERP systems, linking material and pricing information from the ERP into IMOS. This integration allows us to automate everything, from generating drawings to producing production files, without any manual input required.

Wood & Panel: IMOS has a strong presence in the North American market. Are you exploring opportunities in neighboring markets like South America?

IB: Yes, we’ve been present in South America for several years. We’ve partnered with different companies across the region, starting in Mexico and expanding into Brazil and other parts of South America. So, this is not a new direction for us; we’ve been doing business in South America for about 20 years now.

Wood & Panel: What’s next for IMOS?

IB: Our focus moving forward is the development of online and cloud-based solutions. We’re also committed to advancing automation within the industry to help businesses improve efficiency and stay ahead of the competition.

Wood & Panel: Thank you for sharing that, Ingo. It’s been a pleasure talking to you. Have a great show!

IB: Thank you! It’s been great speaking with you.
