auco and SierraPine have jointly and voluntarily agreed to
terminate their purchase agreement due to certain objections by the US Justice Department. On January 14, 2014, Arauco announced that its subsidiary, Flakeboard America Limited, had signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire SierraPine’s Western operations to include mills in California and Oregon.
Arauco North America, Atlanta, GA, will continue to operate its existing MDF and particleboard facilities in the US and Canada.
SierraPine, Roseville, CA, manufactures MDF and particleboard with operations in California and Oregon.
