The epicenter of innovations served as the perfect destinations for wood and panel manufacturers who all came together to display new concepts and featured uniqueness. For instance in the machines and production unit the innovations, coupled with industry 4.0 technology heavily influenced the future of manufacturing, such as the SCM Smart &Human Factory, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Robotics, 3D Printing, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IOT) and Internet of Services (IOS).
This year the Association of Woodworking & Furnishing Suppliers (AWFS) 2019 honored 10 companies under the Visionary New Product Awards category. Young woodworking talent, Nicholas Maraldo, a student at Furniture Institute of Massachusetts won the Best of Show award in the 2019 AWFS Fresh Wood Competition category.
Besides these, at the fairground the popular woodworking brands, AkzoNobel celebrated 100 years in the wood coating sector by showcasing latest innovations, including MaestroHue, while, Axalta, a prominent supplier of liquid and powder coatings, highlighted their new collection, “Wood Vibes: Terra,” a series of color collections focusing on home fashion trends at the fair ground. Rev-A-Shelf LLC., the brand known for producing Storage Organization and Cabinet Lighting further demonstrated its innovative product line and new releases at their booth #4601. Stiles however brought practical solutions to support the woodworking industry at the fair ground. Renowned finishing solutions specialist Venjakob presented VEN SPRAY SMART the customized finishing solutions in the booth # 10,000 at the fair ground.
The AWFS 2019 thus, brought together the entire home and commercial furnishings industry, including manufacturers and distributors of machinery, hardware, plastics, lumber, construction materials and other suppliers to the furniture, cabinet manufacturers and custom woodworkers. For four days thousands of passionate woodworking professionals fully surround themselves in all of the exciting new products and services manufacturers large and small have to offer. The show was therefore, an ideal platform to share knowledge and expand business, while creating a fertile environment for future investment in America, thus AWFS was a must visit for all.
