Atlanta is gearing up for IWF

The biennial woodworking fair is all set for a grand opening tomorrow is now packed up with all the international participants. The fair always amazes the visitors with its greatest possibilities of advanced brands and products which leaves a great impact on the exhibitors as well as visitors.

 
This year IWF is going to celebrate their 50th anniversary of IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award. 21 finalists have been shortlisted for this award.

The International Woodworking Fair reports that registration for the 2016 show in Atlanta is pacing 30 percent ahead of 2014, the last edition of the event. The show is completely sold out with a waiting list of exhibitors who still want space.

Near opening day, IWF executives reported that the machinery building is sold out, supply building is sold out, and educational conferences will have record numbers for tickets sold and the number of sessions.

Registration is pacing 30 percent ahead the last exhibition, and the show has maintained that pace since registration opening. Net square feet has grown by double digits.  There has also been double digit growth in the number of exhibitors, and more than 240 first time exhibitors.

The 2016 event will include a number of first-time features, including the flooring symposium, wood component symposium, IWF TV Buzz Feeds, IWF GoPro real woodworking/owners walking the floor, Cabinet and Closets Storage Pavilion, Flooring Pavilion, and IWF app beacons in outlets, attractions, and restaurants promoting deals. For the first time, there will be videotaping of all of the educational sessions. Other attractions are: IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award, Design emphasis student furniture design competition gallery, the new product showcase, Technology Theatre.
