Accuride® International, the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of sliding hardware, demonstrated this year at AWFS Fair the broad range of innovative, reliable solutions it offers to help woodworkers differentiate themselves ahead of trends.
The company, which also has launched an online store and new website to offer convenience, education, and support, provided interactive application displays, individual tours, and personalized demos in Booth 4249.
“Professional cabinetmakers, furniture manufacturers, and hobbyists look to Accuride for creative, inspiring and diverse ways to serve their customers today and tomorrow,” said Sid Kalantar, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Accuride. “We offered woodworkers infinite possibilities – spanning all rooms of a home or business, any size project, traditional or experimental design, and all manner of furnishings.” Sid added.
Those who stopped by Accuride’s booth learned right at the floor how to enhance the performance of drawers, shelves, trays, doors, panels, computer screens and other fixtures by using the company’s array of BMHA- and AWI-certified products. With particular emphasis on space-saving and micro-living, they got the chance to ecplore how Accuride slides, linear track systems, mechanical lifts and other kinds of hardware complement applications ranging from under-stairs offices, laundry nooks, and storage cabinets to pocket doors and bike stations.
Visitors got to try out Easy-Close, Touch-Release, Self-Close and other helpful features. Accuride experts were able to walk them through such tasks as installing a pocket door, or an undermount slide for wide drawers.
Attendees also found out more about Accuride’s online store and online resources – and the exciting thing was that they received a coupon for 10% off their next online order.
About Accuride’s move into e-commerce, Kalantar said: “Customers have told us that they need to be able to order a broad selection of our slides anytime, anywhere and on any device. Our online store enables us to close geographical distribution gaps, allowing customers to purchase a full assortment of specialty products, as well as popular slides, including undermount and heavy-duty options.”
Accuride’s products and the new option for purchasing them are receiving favorable reviews.
“I chose to use Accuride slides because they speak to the overall quality of my work,” said Claire Baldwin, owner of Polish & Power Tools. “Until I began using Accuride slides, I hadn’t noticed that the quality of what I had been using was so poor in comparison. I was used to the drawer wiggling back and forth, being difficult to close, or not sliding properly when opening.” Claire added further.
An early user of the online store also was pleased. “The website was super-easy to navigate and order from,” said Kris Gaughran, who handles construction project management for Cinergy Construction. “We use Accuride all the time for our high-end home theaters. We love the new online store. Not only was shopping quick, but the product also arrived so fast.” Kris concluded.
