Andritz receives order from Steves & Sons’ new mill in America

Andritz, popularly known for offering woodworking solutions around the globe has recently received an impressive order from the US based Steves & Sons, Inc to whom they will supply two pressurized refining systems for the new mill in Athens, Georgia, United States. The state-of-the-art pressurized refining systems with innovative C-feeder in conjunction with HC (high-consistency) refining will process a mixture of hardwood and softwood chips for production of high-quality fibers for molded door skins.

The esteemed brand Andritz, is known for producing pressurized refining systems that are designed to produce the best fiber quality at low energy demand. “The Andritz well-proven technology focusing on excellent fiber properties and the extensive North American network of experts and service specialists were all decisive factors in Andritz receiving the order from Steves,” said Stephen Brien, Director of Fiber Operations at Steves.

In the American woodworking and manufacturing domain, Steves and Sons, Inc. has been providing high quality products for homes with exclusive attention on doors for 157 years. It currently plans to boost their legacy and their well developed market reputation with the inclusion of new technological aid from Andritz. And now, with the new pressurized refining systems that are equipped with innovative C-feeder follow a high-consistency refining process to mix hardwood and softwood chips for production of high-quality fibers for molded door skin. Steves plans to make use of Andritz’s high consistency refining system to design new lines and styles of interior and exterior doors.
