Armstrong World Industries has once again been recognized as one of America’s Greenest Companies, securing a place on Newsweek’s 2026 list for the second consecutive year. The recognition underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability-driven innovation across interior and exterior architectural solutions, including ceilings, specialty walls, and metal systems.

Vic Grizzle, President and Chief Executive Officer of Armstrong World Industries, emphasized, β€œSustainability is deeply embedded in the company’s strategy and operations.” He also noted, β€œThe repeat recognition reflects tangible progress in reducing environmental impact while continuing to deliver value to customers and communities. Armstrong is advancing this commitment through product innovations such as Energy-Saving Ceilings and ULTIMA® Low-Embodied-Carbon (LEC) ceiling panels, which are designed to reduce both operational and material-related carbon emissions in commercial buildings.”

The company’s recently released 2025 Sustainability Report outlines measurable progress across its three core sustainability pillars: Healthy and Circular Products, Healthy Planet, and Thriving People and Communities. Among the key achievements is the launch of ULTIMA LEC ceiling panels, which deliver a 43% reduction in material-related carbon emissions compared with standard ULTIMA panels. These advancements respond directly to growing demand within the construction sector for low-carbon building materials.

Armstrong has also expanded its TEMPLOK® Energy-Saving Ceilings portfolio, offering building owners and designers additional tools to improve energy efficiency and reduce heating and cooling costs. Alongside product innovation, the company continues to focus on minimizing chemicals of concern in its materials and improving circularity across manufacturing processes.

The Newsweek ranking is based on a rigorous evaluation of sustainability performance among U.S.-based public and private companies. Eligibility required meeting the European Union’s stringent sustainability benchmarks, widely regarded as among the most comprehensive environmental standards globally.

As sustainability expectations rise across the building materials sector, Armstrong World Industries’ continued recognition highlights its role in shaping a more energy-efficient, lower-carbon future for the ceiling and wall systems industry.
