AWC appoints new President and CEO

American Wood Council is assigning Jacksom Morrill as their new President and CEO effective in mid-September. He has been with Composite Panel Association since 2015 and currently resigning from the post to join AWC.

On behalf of the industry it represents, AWC is committed to ensuring a resilient, safe, and sustainable built environment. To achieve these objectives, AWC contributes to the development of sound public policies, codes, and regulations which allow for the appropriate and responsible manufacture and use of wood products.

Prior to his work at CPA, Morrill was director at American Chemistry Council and he practiced environmental law with a DC-based firm. Morrill graduated from Tulane University School of Law and gained a bachelor of arts from the University of Virginia.
