Just like every year, AWFS is all set to return with it’s one of the most interesting segments: Make & Take. Therefore, attendees are invited to the AWFS fair to stop by the Make & Take booth #1277. The booth will be supported by the volunteers from the Society of Wood Manufacturing (SWM), a Southern California-based organization dedicated to fostering connections between educators and students and our industry, and the Inland Woodworkers Association.
At the Make & Take booth, attendees will be able to build a wood mallet and get it custom laser engraved. There will also be laser “spaceship” ornaments, and a daily raffle for a handmade “spaceship” chip and dip bowl, all courtesy of volunteers from SWM and the Inland Woodworkers Association. Equipment in action includes a Universal Laser machine, courtesy of Paton Group, and a new Hammer HNC3 825 CNC router from Felder USA, Other Make & Take sponsors and suppliers include Inland Woodworkers Association, LMT Onsrud and Royal Plywood.
The funds raised will support initiatives for industry education, such as SkillsUSA California.
