With great enthusiasm and delight, the 2023 AWFS Fair announces the creation of The Maverick Award, which will serve as the main prize for the popular Tool Tour Program. The Maverick Award will honor excellence in marketing strategy and execution for Tool Tour participation at AWFS Fair 2023.
One qualifying exhibitor will be honored by the competition based on a range of standards across seven different categories. The winner will be revealed at the AWFS Fair, which will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from July 25–28, 2023. The winner will be given a unique trophy and will be highlighted online and during the show.

The AWFS Tool Fair’s Tour is a feature that showcases producers and dealers of hand and power tools as well as other minor pieces of equipment, which are crucial product groups for all woodworking makers, regardless of shop size. Each participating exhibitor’s booth serves as a stop on the tour. Through the AWFS Fair App, attendees will be invited to stop by these locations throughout the event. Participants will get a commemorative, concert-style tour shirt bearing the 2023 Tool Tour logo after finishing the Tour. Get your lassos ready because Tool Tour will have a western theme this year!
From all first-place category winners, a “Best of Show” award will be chosen, and the winner will be given a unique trophy made by a skilled woodworker. There will also be a People’s Choice award, for which all visitors and exhibitors to the AWFS Fair may cast a ballot. The full-scale international AWFS Fair will be hosted in Las Vegas from Tuesday through Friday, July 25–28, 2023. This grand fair serves as a crucial hub for cross-border trade in the woodworking sector. The AWFS Fair brings together the manufacturers and distributors of hardware, timber, building materials, and other suppliers to the furniture, cabinet manufacturers, and bespoke woodworkers, as well as the home and commercial furnishings industry.
