The countdown to AWFS®Fair 2027 has officially begun, with attendee registration and official housing now open for the woodworking industry’s upcoming gathering in Las Vegas. The event will take place from July 13 to 15, 2027, at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall, bringing woodworking professionals together for three days of equipment, technology, education, product discovery and industry networking.

The 2027 edition will introduce a new three-day Tuesday-to-Thursday format. AWFS announced the schedule change after gathering feedback through attendee discussions, surveys and focus groups, with the association saying the revised format was intended to better reflect changing buyer behaviour while also reducing the time and cost associated with exhibiting.

Registration now open for AWFS®Fair 2027

Industry professionals planning to attend can now register for AWFS®Fair 2027, with early registration available at no cost through December 31, 2026, according to the show’s official registration information. Registration pricing will increase to $20 from January 1 through April 7, 2027, followed by further increases as the event approaches. The Fair is a trade event for industry professionals and covers a broad range of woodworking technologies, equipment, materials and services. Its audience includes professionals working across furniture, cabinetry, custom woodworking and related manufacturing sectors.

Official housing is also available through AWFS®Fair’s designated housing provider, giving attendees access to hotel options in Las Vegas while they plan their visit.

AWFS®Fair 2027 will bring together manufacturers, suppliers and distributors showcasing technologies and products across the woodworking value chain. The official programme includes categories such as CNC, routers and machining; cutting and power tools; finishing and sanding; cabinetry components and hardware; dust collection and shop systems; material handling and automation; and materials and panel products. The show floor will therefore provide visitors with access to machinery and technologies ranging from individual workshop tools to advanced production systems. Live demonstrations will also give attendees opportunities to see equipment operating in real-world applications rather than simply viewing products on display.

Automation and digital technology remain important themes

Automation will continue to play an important role at AWFS®Fair 2027 as woodworking manufacturers look for ways to improve production efficiency, material handling and consistency.

The Fair’s technology categories include robotics, logistics, storage and automation, alongside CNC machining and other production technologies. This combination reflects the growing connection between machinery, software and automated material flow within modern woodworking facilities. For manufacturers and woodworking businesses evaluating new equipment, the event will provide an opportunity to compare different approaches and speak directly with technology suppliers.

Education will complement the exhibition floor

AWFS®Fair 2027 will also extend beyond machinery and product displays through its educational programme.

The College of Woodworking Knowledge® (CWWK) will offer expert-led educational sessions covering issues, technologies and practices relevant to today’s woodworking industry. AWFS has positioned the programme as an important part of the Fair, allowing attendees to combine equipment discovery with professional development. Additional show-floor programming will include the AWFS®Fair Live Stage, featuring Rapid Fire presentations and WED Talks, as well as the Visionary Awards, which will recognise products for innovation and excellence. A dedicated Safety Zone will also provide information and products focused on safer woodworking operations.

AWFS®Fair 2027 will also expand into areas connected to the wider built environment and wood-product ecosystem. According to the official attendee information, the 2027 Fair will introduce new opportunities focused on glass, window and door technologies, alongside equipment and solutions related to wood waste, biomass and pellet production. The expansion reflects the broader range of technologies and businesses connected to woodworking, manufacturing, construction and the utilization of wood-based resources.

One of the most significant changes for 2027 will be the shorter official show schedule. AWFS announced in October 2025 that the Fair would move to a Tuesday-through-Thursday format, running from July 13 to 15. The association said its decision followed research into buyer behavior and feedback from exhibitors and attendees. AWFS also noted that reducing the number of show days could lower exhibiting costs while allowing visitors to conduct business with less time away from their shops and workplaces.

The official schedule lists Monday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as a distributor-only access day, followed by the three official show days from Tuesday through Thursday.

Las Vegas to host the woodworking community

The Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall will serve as the venue for AWFS®Fair 2027. The location will bring manufacturers, distributors, woodworking professionals and suppliers together in one of the industry’s major North American markets. For attendees, the event will combine the practical experience of seeing machinery and tools in operation with opportunities to meet suppliers, discuss production challenges and learn about new technologies.

Looking ahead to AWFS®Fair 2027

With registration and official housing now open, preparations for AWFS®Fair 2027 are moving into a new phase. The combination of machinery, automation, materials, education and industry networking will give woodworking professionals multiple reasons to attend the Las Vegas event.

The introduction of the three-day format will also make the 2027 edition different from previous Fairs. Alongside established woodworking categories, the expanded focus on areas such as biomass, pellet production and related built-environment technologies will broaden the scope of the event. As the woodworking industry continues to adapt to changing production requirements, automation, labour challenges and new technologies, AWFS®Fair 2027 will provide a platform for manufacturers and professionals to meet, compare solutions and discuss the next stage of woodworking production.

AWFS®Fair 2027 will take place July 13–15, 2027, at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall.
