Biesse to host two-day event on Cabinet and Closet Door Production

Biesse will host Material Days, a two-day event on April 22–23 at its Charlotte Campus, featuring expert-led seminars, industry specialists, and a fully equipped machine showroom. Attendees will experience live demonstrations of advanced manufacturing solutions, engage in idea exchange, and discover how Biesse’s technology streamlines production processes.

Event overview:

Day 1

Cabinet door production including MDF, five-piece thermofoil/laminate, and solid wood manufacturing processes, efficient workflows, scalability, and cost considerations for growing operations.

Seminars:

Derek Asbury of Asbury Millwork will discuss emerging design trends, the advantages of in-house door production, and the coatings that ensure quality and durability.

In the materials segment, leading suppliers Eggers and Uniboard will showcase the latest edgebanding solutions, along with insights into the performance and cost efficiency of PUR and Airforce edgebanding technologies.

Live production experiences:

  • Experience each stage of cabinet and closet door production including precision machining, edgebanding and sanding.
  • Five-Piece Laminate & Slab Doors cut-to-size, edgebanding, grooving, doweling, assembly, and finishing.
  • Five-Piece Solid Wood Doors from design file to finished product.
  • MDF Doors multiple options for CNC machining of single piece MDF doors, complete sanding processes from brushing solutions for edge break, robotic sanding for center panel and final brush solutions for primer coat sanding for premier quality finishing.
