Boise Cascade continues expansion across the globe, and now with the new acquisition of Birmingham, Alabama, site, they are more confident than ever. The woodworking brand Boise Cascade, one of the largest producers of engineered wood products and plywood in North America takes a business leap to increase the size of their business. Its Building Material distribution (BMD) division has finally acquired a five acre site in Birmingham Alabama for the easy growth of operational efficiencies. The newly owned property is based in adjacent to the Company’s rail-served location, which was acquired in 2019. Executive Vice President Jeff Strom aims to render better service to the customers with the additional acreage that might strengthen the operating system of the company.
While talking about the Birmingham wing, Southeast Region Manager, Brian Cullen states -“Since its integration into the Boise Cascade nationwide network, the Birmingham branch has grown to serve the increasing demand of engineered wood, specialty building products and commodities in the marketplace”. Therefore, the Birmingham expansion brought in new targets to achieve while the company decides to stay committed to the high growing market demands.
