Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company (TTL), a family-run company that has been providing services to the Northern Sierra Nevada region since 1931, has been acquired by Builders FirstSource (BFS).
The transaction’s specifics were not disclosed.
The company claims that over its seven locations, TTL has established an outstanding reputation for offering premium lumber, construction supplies, and knowledgeable design services. The retention of local leadership will guarantee continuity and a smooth transition.
The company operates in six locations: a phase lumber & production yard in McCarran, Nevada; a design center and lumberyard in Truckee, California; a lumberyard & door shop in Reno/Sparks; a retail store & lumberyard in Tahoe City, California; and a corporate headquarters in Reno, Nevada.
FirstSource Builders has expanded significantly through acquisitions, including eight in 2024. This year, in February, the business purchased O.C. Cluss Lumber & Building Supplies, located in Pennsylvania. The company distributes a variety of goods, such as manufactured components, doors, drywall and accessories, decking and landscaping, cabinets and countertops, lumber, molding, and millwork.
