Cabinetworks Group, the largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer in the United States, has officially named Erik Wille as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective October 15, 2025. Wille, who had previously taken on the role of interim CTO earlier this year, was appointed to the position permanently following his successful leadership contributions at the company.
Wille’s tenure at Cabinetworks Group began in 2023 when he joined as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In his time with the company, he played a pivotal role in transforming the organization’s IT landscape. Among his notable achievements, Wille rebuilt the company’s Information Security Management System, introduced a new security awareness program, and helped shift the IT strategy from a focus on simply delivering technology to a more customer-centric approach aimed at driving business enablement and operational efficiency.
“Erik has brought a fresh, technology-forward perspective to our drive for operational excellence,” said Jeff Jackson, CEO of Cabinetworks Group. “As a hands-on leader with a natural ability to form genuine partnerships with his peers and across the broader organization, he has unified his team, enabled faster problem solving, and delivered strong results. Erik has already accomplished a great deal in the role, and I am proud to have him on our team.”
Wille’s appointment to CTO is the latest step in his rapid progression within the company. His leadership in strengthening Cabinetworks Group’s IT infrastructure and streamlining operations positioned him as the natural successor to the CTO role. As CTO, Wille will continue to lead the company’s IT initiatives, overseeing the development and execution of IT strategies that will align with the company’s overall business goals. He will also focus on advancing Cabinetworks Group’s IT operations into a strategic enabler that drives business growth and innovation.
Before joining Cabinetworks, Wille held several leadership positions at major companies, including American Axle & Manufacturing and Penske Automotive Group. He also brings extensive experience to the role as the co-chair of the Evanta Detroit CISO Community and as CEO and President of CXO Xchange, a professional network for executives. Wille’s vast experience in technology leadership and security management has given him a strong foundation to drive Cabinetworks Group’s IT transformation.
Wille holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Michigan, along with a Master of Science in Information Assurance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Walsh College. His education and professional background uniquely position him to lead the company’s technology strategy and oversee the implementation of IT solutions that will further strengthen the company’s market position.
