What participants have gained and learned:
The show was appropriate for exploring ‘How to prepare for the next generation of materials in furniture production?’
As the furniture industry evolves, so does the need to rethink materials. With growing interest in sustainability, supply stability, and design flexibility, furniture brands are beginning to explore alternatives to traditional hardwoods such as Oak. While Oak remains a popular choice, rising market demands, increasing cost, and sourcing challenges are prompting companies to consider other options that meet similar standards of strength, appearance, and performance. One material gaining attention in this space is Western Hemlock.
To support industry professionals in understanding the role of new materials like Western Hemlock, Canadian Wood Vietnam was pleased to invite everyone to their seminar: “HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXTGEN MATERIALS IN FURNITURE PRODUCTION?”
What makes Western Hemlock stand out?
Western Hemlock offers an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, excellent machining characteristics, and strong nail and screw-holding properties, making it a highly practical and reliable choice for manufacturers. It planes and sands to a smooth, even finish, allowing for precision work and clean lines. Its naturally attractive grain and fine carving capabilities have made it a favorite among furniture makers looking to combine performance with refined aesthetics.
As a non-resinous species, Western Hemlock readily accepts a wide range of stains and polishes, resulting in a lustrous and customizable finish. Its natural color variations offer excellent flexibility for achieving diverse design outcomes. From clean, modern minimalism to rich, traditional aesthetics, Western Hemlock offers the versatility needed to suit a broad range of interior design preferences.
Why was the Canadian Wood Vietnam Seminar a ‘not-to-miss’ event?
This seminar was designed for manufacturers, designers, wholesalers, and retailers looking to stay informed and adaptable in a dynamic market. Whether someone’s focus is cost optimization, product innovation, or reliable supplies, their sessions offered useful food for thoughts on what needs to be considered when integrating new materials into the specific production line.
This seminar was the ultimate chance to explore how alternative materials can fit into the future of furniture design and manufacturing. Canadian Wood seminar helped each and everyone in gaining the information whoever needs to evaluate options thoughtfully and position his business for long-term success.
