Cefla Finishing to exhibit compact spray & drying work cell at AWFS 2021

 Wednesday, June 23, 2021

Cefla North America, one of the leading suppliers of surface enhancement technologies in the USA and Canada, is exhibiting at the 2021 AWFS Fair® in Las Vegas, Nevada, this coming July in booth #933. While it’s been some time since the woodworking community has ventured to a conference and exhibition, the team at Cefla North America has big plans to wow attendees.

In the Cefla Finishing booth, a flatline finishing work cell will actively finish parts throughout the course of the show. The in-line solution will showcase several finishing technologies new for 2021. Leading off the line-up: the Unidry-G gas-powered oven, which launched at CeflaLive in Charlotte, North Carolina in June 2021, drastically reduces dry times when compared to traditional drying technologies. This unique drying system generates an intense but controlled amount of infrared energy, which when combined with air movement allows for efficient and clean drying. Stop by the Cefla booth to see it in action.

Next on deck: Prima, now available with pressurization. This one-arm reciprocating spray machine is ideal for companies seeking cost-effectiveness, excellent flexibility and productivity. It is user-friendly and reliable with low operating cost and initial investment. The system is equipped with a quick-change rotary valve that allows for fast color changes, small batches – all with little to no downtime. The pressurization feature further improves the machine’s performance and allows shops of any size to set themselves up for future growth. As production levels increase, the machine is ready to be set in-line with other sequential technologies, such as drying. The pressurization assembly can be retrofitted to existing Prima installations in the field.

Compatible substrates for this work cell include wood, wood-based derivatives, metal, fiberglass, fiber cement, and ceramics. Applications include but are not limited to raised and flat panels, 3D parts, flat and raised doors, indoor and outdoor furniture, automotive components, metal sheets, concrete slabs, home furnishings, and much more.

Cefla North America houses the largest laboratory dedicated to finishing professionals second to its global headquarters in Imola, Italy and is the company’s largest investment outside of Italy. The lab enables customers to test substrates and coatings in an environment that does not disrupt their company’s production. The lab also serves a center of research on the latest trends, techniques and technologies available to the finishing industry. Cefla North America in particular is a center for vacuum technology and manufactures a line of vacuum coating finishing systems available in USA and Canada.
