Cefla– presented latest offerings in surface enhancement technology at AWFS 2019

 Monday, July 29, 2019

Surface enhancement technology provider, Cefla displayed their latest innovations for the North American woodworking community at AWFS 2019. Cefla’s booth visitors experienced live demonstration of Prima, the first step in automated finishing equipment, integrated with a “pick-and-place” material handling system for doors. Stacked doors are “picked” via robotic arm onto the conveyor, sent through the spray-coating machine for finishing, and with a second robot are lifted from the conveyor to the next production stage.

The material handling system, which can be turned on or off, further extends Prima’s adaptiveness in being able to finish various component types such as door jambs. Overall, the system increases automation and production efficiencies as well as offers the ability to better allocate labor resources.

The system’s configuration is a spinoff from Cefla’s original CFS (Compact Flooring System), an all-in-one machine that sands, roll-coats, wipes and cures floor planks up to 12 inches. The new design takes a modular approach, allowing the user to customize the finishing line to their specific application with an increased plank width capability of up to 16 inches.

Ubiquo Service Packs and Software Solutions was also showcased in Cefla’s booth. Ubiquo is a customized selection of service and software solutions designed to enhance line performance using digital tools. Rapidly diagnose system malfunctions, project and manage maintenance needs, and receive remote support. Cefla displayed finishing solutions at the booth #9247 in AWFS.

Cefla North America offers the broadest range of finishing and coatings application equipment on the market today. Forward-thinking customers look to Cefla for solutions to coat virtually any substrate: wood, metal, glass, plastics and composites. Spray equipment, roll coaters, vacuum coaters and many other automated systems help customers involved in furniture, panel processing, casegoods, flooring and dozens of other industries be more successful.
