The ChemQuest Group appoints Edwin Hortelano, Ph.D. as the new director. Hortelano has over the course of time lead teams in three continents for the development of materials and solutions for coatings, adhesives, release liners, holographic data storage, and additive manufacturing. He will now use his expertise primarily to support the ChemQuest’s Technology Development pillar.
The ChemQuest Group, one of the well known global consulting firm focuses on tailored business strategy and optimization, technology acceleration, market intelligence, and M&A advisory services for the specialty materials industry plans to make the best use Hortelano’s work experience. Pointing out his expertise, Daniel Murad, ChemQuest CEO said, “In each step of his career, Ed has focused on helping companies accelerate the development of innovative new products and bringing them successfully to market. His expertise ranges from product development and sales to commercialization and production, all of which will prove invaluable to our clients who are looking to explore growth through R&D opportunities”.
Hortelano has previously worked for Covestro for over 20 years. He undertook various responsibilities before joining Bostik, where he led a global team focused on technical development and R&D activities for nonwovens and hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives. Most recently, he has also served as senior vice president, Materials Engineering and Operations with 3D Systems. He is currently excited to take up this new responsibility.
