Columbia Forest Products announces acquisition of Custom Pallet Manufacturer Pro Pallet
Columbia Forest Products, a leading North American manufacturer of hardwood plywood and veneer, has announced the acquisition of Pro Pallet LLC, a custom pallet manufacturer and provider of pallet recycling, crating, and packaging solutions, with operations across Dover, York, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“This transaction represents an outstanding opportunity to strengthen and extend our capabilities,” said Mark Schaffer, founder and president of Pro Pallet. “I look forward to remaining on board beyond the transition and maintaining the high standard of service and care that defines our work for both our customers and our team.” Mark added further.
The acquisition represents Columbia’s second investment in the pallet industry, strengthening its industrial wood products and supply chain capabilities while further expanding its presence in the North American pallet and packaging market. The company first entered the sector in 2022 through the acquisition of JC Pallet, which operates facilities in Virginia and North Carolina.

Pro Pallet will continue operating as usual throughout the integration process, ensuring seamless service and uninterrupted support for its customers. Over time, Columbia’s pallet operations will be integrated to capitalize on shared expertise, infrastructure, and procurement efficiencies.
