Dewalt unveils new Corded Drywall Sander

 Wednesday, May 12, 2021

Dewalt announces its new Corded Drywall Sander (DWE7800), which will replace the legacy PORTER-CABLE Corded Drywall Sander (PC7800). The Dewalt unit is designed with several upgrades including a wider variable speed range** for greater sanding control, over 4X longer drive shaft life…, and hook and loop backing pads for standard 9-In. hook-and-loop sanding discs.

In addition, the DWE7800 features a built-in AirLock connection port allows for quick connection to Dewalt dust extractors (DWV010 and DWV012, sold separately) without the need for a separate adaptor. A dual-action switch design enables momentary and locked-on usage while a rubber over mold handle provides comfort and grip. The Dewalt Corded Drywall Sander accepts soft and hard backing pads for finishing and materials removal applications. The DWE7801 Soft Backing Pad (included) and DWE7802 Hard Backing Pad (sold separately) are compatible with both the Dewalt 20V MAX* Cordless Drywall Sander (DCE800) and new Corded DWE7800 as well as the Dewalt line of 9-In. hook-and-loop drywall sanding paper and mesh (sold separately).

The Dewalt Corded Drywall Sander is available for pre-order now through Dewalt stores across Canada and will be available at retail beginning of June 2021. The DWE7800 will be kitted with the DWE7801 Soft Backing Pad for $629.
