DMT to celebrate its 40 years at International Hardware Fair

 Monday, February 15, 2016

dmt_logoDMT will celebrate its 40th anniversary at the 2016 International Hardware Fair in Cologne, Germany, March 6 to 8. What’s more, the company will receive an official Loyalty Award for its 22 years of exhibiting at IHF. The award ceremony takes place March 7 at 6:15 p.m.
In 1976, as the U.S. celebrated its Bicentennial, DMT started its own revolution and changed the face of sharpening forever. Since then, the company has built a reputation as the worldwide leader by innovating and producing the highest quality knife and tool diamond sharpeners, all Made in the USA.

With quality being its most important differentiator, DMT believes manufacturing in America is critical. And American ingenuity is just as big a part of the DMT story. The company holds more than 10 patents and has introduced over 125 new products, including 10 in the past five years alone.

DMT will feature its most recent innovation, the DuoBase with MagnaBase Adapter, at IWA. The new bench stone accessory offers greater flexibility and convenience when sharpening. Following the popularity of DMT’s MagnaBase concept in 2014, consumers called for a model that can be used with all of the manufacturer’s bench stones, especially Dia-Sharp products and DMT answered.  DIYers, gardening and outdoor enthusiasts, woodworkers, hunters, and military and law enforcement personnel have come to depend on DMT to ensure peak performance from their tools, knives, multi-tools, fishhooks and more.

“As a professional gear reviewer, I get to test the majority of products on the market,” said Dan Kidder, Managing Editor for Sportsman’s News Magazine. “DMT does a great job of manufacturing the highest quality products. From better dispersion of their more consistent diamonds, to having the flattest sharpeners available, each stroke of your blade across a DMT sharpener delivers optimum performance.” He concluded.

Beyond precise material and production standards, DMT has long been committed to global trade development. In 2014, the company received the President’s “E” Award for Exports, the highest recognition any American entity may receive for contributing to the expansion of U.S. exports. DMT exports to more than 30 countries.
