E-Z LOK, a leading manufacturer and master distributor of threaded inserts for metal, plastic, and wood, proudly announced that it has achieved ISO 9001 certification. The milestone was revealed by Kyle Lindsly-Roach, Director of Sales & Marketing, at the company’s headquarters in Gardena, California.
The ISO 9001 certification underscores E-Z LOK’s dedication to maintaining a quality management system that adheres to international standards, enabling the company to better meet the needs of its customers and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
E-Z LOK initiated the certification process in January of this year, recognizing the importance of ISO certification in supporting both current and future customer needs. To achieve this, the company collaborated with a consulting firm to design and implement a comprehensive quality management system (QMS). Following successful implementation, the system was rigorously audited by an external organization, confirming its effectiveness and alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
“This certification allows us to engage with OEMs and distributors that require a strong quality system from their vendors,” said Lindsly-Roach. “It opens up new business opportunities with customers who insist on ISO certification for their suppliers.”
E-Z LOK, a family-owned and operated company since its founding in 1956, specializes in threaded inserts for various materials. Their metal inserts include solid wall and helical wire-thread designs, while plastic inserts feature press-in and ultrasonic/heat stake options. For wood, they offer die-cast zinc alloy hex drives for softwood and brass knife threads for hardwood. E-Z LOK also provides a range of kits that include installation tools and drill bits.
Primarily distributing through local, regional, and national industrial channels, E-Z LOK continues to build on its legacy as a third-generation business, now reinforced by its commitment to quality excellence with ISO 9001 certification.
