EcoFib makes plastic recycling easier with WEIMA W5 22 Shredder

 Friday, June 16, 2023

EcoFib is happy to utilize the plastic production line of WEIMA. EcoFib is a renowned plastic recycler company located in Drummondville, a city in Canada. EcoFib is currently focusing only on the processes of post-industrial plastic scrap, turning it into plastic pellets that may be used to create new items.

The company’s facility is filled with this enthusiasm for plastic recycling, and additional lines are constantly being installed to increase its processing capacity.

The most interesting part is that to make it happen, EcoFib depends on WEIMA W5 22 Shredder – one of the most recent developments of WEIMA’s plastic recycling lines. The product is formerly known as the WKS 2200. It is majorly used to transform post-industrial film scrap into pellets.

These pellets, which come in various colours, are supplied to businesses in the area to be turned into new plastic goods.

What does WEIMA Shredder offer?

“Having been in the recycling business since 1991, I’ve seen WEIMA [machines] in other plants and knew they were good shredders. With the acquisition of the WEIMA, we can now recycle all film, fibre, and woven plastics that we could not recycle in the past.” Tony Delate, Managing Director of EcoFib.
