EGGER Group Witnesses Increased Turnover

eggerThe EGGER Group has reported increased its turnover by +11% to EUR 2.181 billion in the 2012/13 business year even as economic conditions are becoming more challenging. During the annual press conference held at the beginning of August 2013 at headquarters in St. Johann in Tirol, the wood-based material manufacturer EGGER was once again able to present positive developments for all key performance figures in the past business year.

Turnover for decorative and structural wood-based materials and laminate flooring has increased. In the 2012/13 business year, the three divisions – EGGER Decorative Products, EGGER Building Products and EGGER Retail Products – were each able to report relevant turnover increases. Additional OSB production at the plant in Radauti (RO) resulted in a 50% increase in the field of wood construction products. Positive sales market developments are expected in Russia, Turkey and the rest of Eastern Europe.

Highly modern facilities, measures for sustainable growth and a clear commitment to Austria as an industrial location have definitely favoured  In order to achieve stable results in the current 2013/14 business year, notwithstanding the uncertain economic environment, EGGER is going to put additional upgrading capacities into operation and invest in improving the raw material and energy situation. Fully utilising the capacities of all production facilities is expected for the most part.
