Egger Wood Products’ particleboard production plant in Linwood, North Carolina, USA recently ordered a Bruks truck-receiving system and a radial stacker from Bruks Siwertell. The new equipment will be joined with two similar Bruk systems that were put into service in 2020, to help in expanding capacity at the facility.

An important repeat contract

The Linwood factory, which focuses on producing particleboard and has lamination capabilities, is EGGER’s first plant in North America. The new 300t/h truck-receiving system has an 8,000 metric tonne storage capacity radial stacker and a back-on truck dumper with a covered receiving hopper, similar to its predecessors. The entire system will be produced in North America and is anticipated to be operational by the beginning of 2023. It is designed to handle a variety of wood-based products including wood chips, sawdust, dry shavings, and scrap wood, such as broken pallets.

“We are delighted that EGGER has opted to install a third package of Bruks technology at the plant,” says Christopher Duffy, Sales Manager, Bruks Siwertell. “This is an important repeat contract and demonstrates the trust that EGGER has in the equipment to achieve its plans for growth. Efficiency and low dust emissions are two key advantages that our systems deliver,” adds Duffy. “We were also able to deliver the entire equipment package in six months.”

EGGER Wood Products LLC is part of Austrian-based EGGER Group, which operates 20 wood-panel production plants in ten countries. The Linwood facility is EGGER’s first North American plant, specializing in particleboard manufacturing with lamination capabilities.

Bruks Siwertell machines handle raw materials from woods, fields, quarries, and mines, preserving crucial supply lines for factories, mills, power plants, and ports with thousands of installations worldwide. All solutions are created to guarantee lucrative, effective, and environmentally responsible operations. The company asserts to be both local and worldwide. The main offices are located in the US, Sweden, Germany, China, Philippines, and Taiwan, and they are supported by an extensive network of thousands of representatives and dealers all over the world.
