Woodworking machines from the FELDER-GROUP are the result of the 60 years experience in machine construction and a desire to improve even further. The group recently celebrated their 60th anniversary at their headquarters at Hall in Tirol, Austria.
Perfection, co-operation, accuracy – these are the key words that Felder follows traditionally. The third generation has now joined the family company and the FELDER Group has around 550 employees at the company’s head office in Hall and more than 250 sales and service centres in 72 countries worldwide. The company is now one of the leading worldwide suppliers of woodworking machines.
Their products have always stood for maximum quality, innovation and constant development. At one of their worldwide technology centres and showrooms they can carry out a systematic requirement analysis, ensuring the correct configuration of tailor-made product solutions for the customer. By simulating the customer’s production, their customers can test several different machine configurations ensuring that customers find the perfect solution for their individual requirement.
In addition to their showrooms, they also have specially trained service personnel providing specialised on-site service. If the matter is urgent one can call their hotline centre for straightforward immediate help.
Numerous international awards, such as the Bavarian state award, the IF-Design Award and the Adolf Loos Prize, testify the passion and support of the company’s commitment to building the best woodworking machinery.
Through the brands of Felder, Format-4 and Hammer, the Felder group manages to fulfill the highest individual uncompromised requirements of business, trade and industry.
When asked about the journey of the company so far, in an exclusive interview with Wood & Panel, Hansjoerg Felder, CEO, Felder Group points out, “The journey so far was not easy. It was a demanding job all these years. I remember quite well because I am as old as the company is. So you may understand that I got into the scene when I was born and got to witness the step by step growth of the company from a one man brand up to the size as it is now. And it sometimes was extremely demanding. In the meanwhile, we have a certain standing which is important to be able to do our marketing and to do so in any market, you have to reach your customers at the end of the day. When you ask me, where the journey shall go, then we have clearly an answer to this. We try to be in the future- one of the ten biggest suppliers in the world for woodworking machinery, and we try to do this not because of ourselves, we tried it for the sake of our customers.”
