As co-owner, Koelnmesse GmbH is organising the Feria Mueble & Madera, the largest and most important trade fair for industrial wood processing, furniture production and interior design in Colombia, Central America and the Andes region, for the first time in 2018 in Bogota. The 14th edition of the firmly established industry platform takes place from March 6 to 9, 2018 in partnership with the renowned Colombian trade fair company Corferias de Bogotá. With the participation of Koelnmesse, the position of the event as a central trade meeting point is further expanded upon. Feria Mueble & Madera offers Internationally active companies new chances for accessing promising market potential in the region. Stand construction packages included in the square metre price ease targeted access to the regional markets for exhibitors. The German pavilion also implemented by Koelnmesse on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), as well as country pavilions among others from Brazil, China, Italy, Spain and Turkey enable exhibitors attractive and successful trade fair participation. Top exhibitors like Häfele Colombia, Makita Colombia, Julius Blum, Vauth Sagel, Jowat, Kastamonu and Sige are on the current registration list of Feria Mueble & Madera.
Growing market potential
The economic prerequisites in Colombia for profitable trade fair participation are presently especially favourable. As the third largest national economy in Latin America, the Andes state continues on its growth course. Among the impulse providers for growth are the construction industry as well as real estate. According to government information, 387,000 homes will be financed in the coming three years. That corresponds to a volume of 35 billion US dollars. At the same time, the hotel sector is experiencing overproportional growth. The building materials trade, the wood and furniture industries, as well as interior design will profit greatly from these developments. “In the Andes region, Colombia is the most quickly growing market, and thus the most important trade fair location of the entire region”, says Denis Steker, Vice President International of Koelnmesse. “With Feria Mueble & Madera, Koelnmesse is consistently implementing its strategy of making successful entry into attractive target markets possible for companies with its extensive expertise as a global trade fair organiser.” Denis added further.
Ideal conditions for market entry
Internationally active companies from the segments of furniture production, interior finishing and wood processing will find the best prerequisites for entering the markets of Central America and the Andes region at Feria Mueble & Madera. The event assures a very high level of trade visitor quality through the presence of many top decision makers from Colombia and the neighbouring markets. Feria Mueble & Madera is equally divided into sections for materials and components for furniture production, an exhibition space for machinery and the forestry section for woodworking and wood processing. Flexible stand packages, including stand construction with modern system elements, offer attractive starting conditions and make participation in the trade fair especially comfortable. Comprehensive service eases the planning of exhibitors and networking at the trade fair. International companies can present their products and services in the context of country pavilions. Koelnmesse is also organising a German pavilion on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, for which the renowned companies Eberl Trocknungsanlagen, HAAS Recycling-Systems, Walter Spiering Sägewerkstechnik, Intecfor Germany, MS-Maschinenbau, Kohlbacher, Jowat Andina, Riepe, Zenz Maschinenbau, Tigra and AWUKO ABRASIVES have registered.
