Fiber Global, a producer of fiberboard and other sustainable building materials, has announced that it has raised $20 million in Series A funding. DBL Partners led the investment, and Ira Ehrenpreis, a Managing Partner and Founder, joined the Board of Directors. The funding will help Fiber Global achieve its goal of converting the world’s abundant waste streams into sustainable, scalable building materials, starting with the expansion of its manufacturing base in the United States.
With a significantly reduced carbon footprint, Fiber Global’s proprietary technology platform transforms the world’s plentiful waste streams into long-lasting, high-performance building materials that exceed current alternatives. The products of Fiber Global, which are made in the US, are UL GREENGUARD GOLD certified, formaldehyde-free, and contain no hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOCs). With a circular manufacturing strategy that boosts local economies, Fiber Global seeks to spearhead the shift toward a building materials business that is resilient, inexpensive, and climate-positive. Construction materials account for more than 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
“From day one, our relationship with DBL Partners and Ehrenpreis has been invaluable,” commented KC McCreery, Founder and CEO of Fiber Global. “Their team brings more than just investment; they actively engage and support our growth daily with intentionality. DBL Partners and Ehrenpreis are truly part of the Fiber Global team, sharing our mission and vision of reclaiming tomorrow. This investment round provides us with the ability to continue rapidly scaling our United States manufacturing footprint and production capacity.”
Fiber Global has spent the last two and a half years concentrating on the implementation and scalability of recovering global waste streams in order to create more reasonably priced, more effective, and really sustainable solutions. The business is already collaborating with top material suppliers to integrate their products into various construction material applications, offering a low-carbon alternative without compromising functionality or affordability. DBL Partners has a strong history of assisting transformative businesses that challenge conventional wisdom and implement profound innovation in both products and processes to expand the realm of what is feasible at scale.
“Fiber Global exemplifies the mission-driven, execution-oriented companies DBL seeks to back,” said Ehrenpreis. “KC and his team are building a platform with the potential to revolutionize the building materials sector, combining sustainability, performance, and affordability at scale. Fiber Global is building a better and more economically compelling product that also has a superior environmental footprint, demonstrating how the double bottom line is not about tradeoff or compromise but about winning with the best value proposition.”
Decarbonizing the built environment and diversifying the supply chains of essential building materials are becoming more and more important worldwide, and Fiber Global is well-positioned to satisfy a spike in demand from partners looking for high-performance, reasonably priced, and ecologically friendly substitutes. The Series A financing lays the groundwork for future growth by confirming the company’s technology and commercial traction.
