Fimma Brasil 2023 confirmed that the fair is among the world’s top business events for mobile chain suppliers. A total hit this edition! Fimma Brasil and Movelsul Brasil, held jointly between the August 28 and 31, at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves (RS), once again fulfilled their promise to revive the furniture sector. With 500 exhibiting brands in 58 thousand square meters, the fairs received 30,835 visitors from all Brazilian states and 46 countries, totaling a projection of R$ 2 billion in business.
The president of the Union of Furniture Industries of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis), Gisele Dalla Costa, comments that the presence of international buyers and the diversity of products were the highlights of Movelsul Brasil 2023 – the main furniture fair in Latin America for shopkeepers, retailers and importers. “Those who visited the fair were certainly surprised by the diversity of brands and products on display, from traditional furniture and lamps to furniture with technological solutions, mattresses and decoration”, she says. “Another highlight of the edition was the presence of importers coming from target countries for the furniture industries, expanding opportunities for companies from different segments”, adds the president of the entity.
At Fimma, the International Business Rounds were held by Orchestra Brasil – a Sindmóveis project with support from ApexBrasil that promotes the internationalization of suppliers in the furniture chain. Nineteen importers from eight countries negotiated with 53 Brazilian companies.
“This is the second time I’ve been to Fimma and there’s always a lot of new stuff, a lot of machinery, and we’re always amazed by it all. It’s far, but we honor it. It is a tremendous satisfaction to participate and this time I brought my wife who did not know the fair and also colleagues. It is at the Fimma fair that I can buy new machinery, have physical contact with the manufacturer. And it is from here that I manage to design and transform our factory.
