Comact, a global leader in high-performance OEM wood processing solutions, is excited to be selected as the equipment and technology provider for Hampton Lumber’s cutting-edge sawmill in South Carolina. Beyond supplying the mill’s advanced systems, Comact will oversee the entire construction and integration process, delivering a complete solution from design through to start-up.

The new Hampton Lumber facility in South Carolina is being purposefully designed to process Southern Yellow Pine, incorporating advanced Comact technologies throughout. At the heart of the mill is a high-performance 20-foot sawline, complemented by three continuous dry kilns and a fully integrated Comact planer mill. The entire site will be outfitted with Comact’s AI-powered technology suite, featuring cutting-edge scanners, Smart Vision, and the OPER8™ digital platform.

Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in 2025, with start-up anticipated in early 2027.
