IMA Schelling introduces comprehensive software aimi for offering uniform user experience. Regardless of working with a saw, edger or drill, the user experience should always be the same. That was the goal of the engineers and IT specialists at IMA Schelling when developing the new cross-departmental software architecture aimi (Artifactural Intelligence meets Machine Intelligence).
Intuitive to use
“For historical reasons, we had numerous different software products,” explains Stefan Rische, Head of Software Development and Systems Control. That is now a thing of the past. With aimi, all machines and systems are integrated into the individual customer environment and can be operated uniformly and intuitively.
Unified interfaces
The software is divided into three function modules: aimi.DO is used on the machine control, offers an overview of the production chain and provides an intuitive user interface. aimi.TALK manages and transfers data that is managed in upstream systems such as the ERP and flows into the machines via interfaces. aimi.THINK, in turn, offers a cross-plant view of all machines and processes and recognizes the production progress of the components. All modules communicate in encrypted form and are protected against unauthorized access.
Fast training
Data security, simple, intuitive usability and thus the possibility of faster familiarization: these are the advantages of aimi. The software is now being implemented bit by bit, numerous interfaces ensure that all customers benefit from the new solution.
