IMA Schelling Group USA is the U.S. subsidiary of Schelling Anlagenbau GmbH (Austria), and IMA KlessmannGmbH (Germany). In 2015, Schelling acquired IMA Klessmann GmbH, a worldwide leader in woodworking technologies. Together, the two companies offer a variety of panel processing needs solutions to the North American market from the U.S. headquarters in Raleigh, NC.

This year, Schelling marks its 100th year in business. Over the years, Schelling has developed a rich history of industry-leading products and reliable, customer-focused service. Schelling opened in 1917 as a small repair shop in Schwarzach, Vorarlberg, Austria. In 1945, the company evolved into manufacturing precision woodworking machines. Today, Schelling maintains its leading position by releasing new, innovative products and state-of-the-art upgrades to their panel saws.  Schelling is known as an industry leader due to a strong commitment to providing cutting edge technology and thought leadership to manufacturers.

Schelling specializes in high-end panel saws for cutting all types of wood, plastics, composites, nonferrous metals and printed circuit boards. The company helps manufacturers, fabricators and distributors to optimize production through automation.

fh5 Automatic Panel Saw

●    Clamps with push-out function up to the end of the machine table
●    Post and soft forming cut
●    Grooving and rabbeting
●    Optimized cutting for greater productivity
●    Powered by a 28 HP motor, the fh5 processes all types of panels with ease

Novimat Compact R3 Edgebander

The Novimat Compact R3 represents the future of edgebanding.

The IMA Novimat Compact R3 is engineered to handle all aspects of edge processing with the option to use traditional EVA glue, PUR glue or the new IMA state-of-the-art laser edgebanding (IMALUX). New laser edgebanding technology is redefining traditional standards of quality edgebanding.  ZERO glue lines create more visually attractive products. With no discernible joint between the edgebanding and material surface, signs of aging and wear are a thing of the past. Absence of a joint allows a tight seal preventing dirt accumulation between surfaces.

The Compact R3 comes loaded with standard features for high quality edgebanding, including multi-radius milling and multi-radius scraping units for four different radiuses, on demand.  The KFA unit with a free moving head, provides consistent corner rounding quality. The machine also features a joint milling unit, infrared heating system, end trimming unit, flat scraping unit, buffing unit, an automatic lubrication unit and more. The Compact R3 is equipped with the IMA ICOS Controller with nearly unlimited programming options including the Service Portal for instant, remote service.

IMA Schelling Group USA provides specialized service and support unmatched in the industry, with 30 factory-trained technicians located throughout the U.S. to provide quick response times.  With the knowledge and expertise in processing all types of panels, IMA Schelling understands that each cutting application is unique. Individual consultations are encouraged to best match machine type, features and budget.

The IMA Schelling Group USA will proudly showcase both the IMA Novimat Compact R3 with IMALUX and the Schelling fh5 Panel Saw at AWFS Booth #8411.
