The newest and biggest customer service facility in Winston-Salem has officially opened, according to Rugby Architectural Building Products, a distributor of architectural building supplies such as hardwood, plywood, hardwood timber, composites, cabinets, and hardware.
Rugby is now positioned for substantial growth and improved service capabilities throughout North Carolina thanks to this planned expansion, which unifies the current facilities in Kernersville and Charlotte into a single, more effective operation.
The new 48,000-square-foot facility, situated at 4320 Old Greensboro Road, includes high ceilings, loading docks, and advanced automation for operational efficiency, enhancing inventory diversity for Rugby Winston-Salem.
“This new distribution center represents a substantial investment in the North Carolina market and strengthens our strategic service footprint across the Southeast,” said Rod Beason, regional vice president of Rugby. He also added, “Winston-Salem was the ideal choice for this expansion, and we’re excited to offer an unparalleled level of service, product selection, and convenience to our customers.”
The facility offers a modern work environment, a product showroom, a sample room, and a convenient will-call area for local customers. Rugby ensures smooth transition for customers, with relocation ongoing. Charlotte facility operational until March 31, bolstering NC presence alongside Wilmington for regional service.
