As the International Mass Timber Conference approaches, anticipation for this momentous occasion is already at an all-time high! The conference is produced by Forest Business Network in cooperation with the wood design experts at WoodWorks-Wood Products Council. The largest gathering of mass wood specialists and stakeholders focused on the complete industry supply chain is to be hosted from March 27 to 29 in Portland, Oregon.
The upcoming 2023 International Mass Timber Conference aims to explore and innovate a broader use of cross-laminated timber and other mass timber products as the innovative, disruptive, contemporary, and sustainable solution required for construction in a rapidly expanding world. Attendees can count on a top-notch conference experience that will be relentlessly focused on helping them learn more, engage with others more effectively, produce smarter products, and advance their businesses while also improving the world.
WoodWorks at the Conference highlights :
Pre-Conference Workshop and Conference Sessions – On March 27 at the conference site, WoodWorks will hold Mass Timber Boot Camp: Becoming a Mass Timber Design Expert in conjunction with conference sessions on technical wood issues.
Construction Management Mock-Up Live Demonstration – A live mass timber mock-up display will take place on the exhibit floor in their maiden attempt. In order to assist the creation of mass timber installation training programmes around the country, the mass timber construction management programme wants to collaborate with training facilities, contractors, and community institutions.
WoodWorks Innovation Network (WIN) Dinner – On Tuesday, March 28 at 6:30 PT, WIN members and special guests will be hosted by WoodWorks and WIN for an evening of networking in conjunction with the conference.
The application to attend the conference must be submitted by February 1, 2023. Preference will be given to first time attendees of the Mass Timber Conference who are currently working on a mass timber project, as per the press release statement.
