JOHN DEERE to take part at Wood Industry Summit at LIGNA 2015

 Saturday, December 20, 2014

LIGNA_2015_Logo_RGB_neg-150x150Deutsche Messe has scored a major coup with the registration of JOHN DEERE Forestry Equipment as a participant at the Wood Industry Summit at LIGNA 2015. JOHN DEERE is a one of the world’s leading manufacturers of forestry and agricultural machines.

The Wood Industry Summit is an international dialogue and networking event that premieres next year at LIGNA, the world’s foremost trade show for the forestry and wood industries. Held in Hall 13 at the Exhibition Center in Hannover, Germany, from 11 to 15 May 2015, the Summit comprises a technology exhibition area, a matchmaking platform and a forum. It is organized by Deutsche Messe in association with the German Forestry Council (KWF), a long-standing and trusted partner that organized a highly successful international matchmaking event at the last LIGNA show in 2013.

“JOHN DEERE’s presence is an endorsement of the Wood Industry Summit format and further strengthens the international make-up of the LIGNA show’s forestry technology program. The Summit means that Hall 13 will, for the very first time, feature exhibitions of large-scale forestry machines. And it means that visitors will be able to find out all about the potential uses and applications of these machines in their operations, make new contacts, cultivate their networks and initiate new business,” said Christian Pfeiffer, the Director in charge of LIGNA at Deutsche Messe. JOHN DEERE will be joined at the Wood Industry Summit by a number of other companies and organizations, including Germany’s HSM (Hohenloher Spezial-Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG) and NRW Forestry & Wood Cluster.

Next year’s LIGNA line-up includes a sizeable number of first-time forestry technology exhibitors, including Grube, Hase Safety Group, Norwood Industries, Peterson Pacific and Smartec. The Austrian forestry machinery firm Binderberger will also be there, following on from its successful LIGNA showcase in 2013. “LIGNA is the undisputed number one trade show for wood industry innovation. It is the premier event for wood industry professionals from around the world who want to extend their competitive edge by investing in state-of-the-art technology. Only at LIGNA will they find solutions for the entire wood value chain, from trees in the ground to finished products, in all its breadth and depth,” Pfeiffer said.
