LSAB Group, the Swedish company always believes to follow their motto “Cutting Excellence”. Circular saw blades and band saw blades – tipped with carbide or stellite – as well as PCD tools such as milling cutters and drills. LSAB Group is looking forward to improve their cutting technology with the support of Vollmer.
In order to manufacture these tools, LSAB relies on more than 100 eroding and grinding machines provided by the technology and service company Vollmer, which operates out of Biberach in Germany. Together with the more than 300 employees, these Vollmer machines form the backbone of LSAB’s growth strategy.
“Our head office is in central Sweden, in the north of Bergslagen in Långshyttan,” says Per Vikström, CEO of the LSAB Group. “We mainly manufacture circular saw and band saw blades for the sawmill industry at our Långshyttan location, and from here we also manage our other locations where we produce diamond tools for the furniture and wood industries, among other products.” He concluded.
“Cutting Excellence” is the motto of LSAB, and the tools that this Swedish company produces to ensure an “excellent cut” are mainly distributed in neighbouring companies on the Baltic Sea. Outside of Sweden, the company has subsidiaries in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Russia. The list of LSAB customers includes sawmill operators, furniture makers, steel-makers, and machinery manufacturers. Alongside milling cutters, drills, circular saw blades and band saw blades, LSAB’s tool range also encompasses cutting blades and clamping tools. The rotary tools, circular saw and band saw blades are made from high-speed steel (HSS) or carbide, and are tipped with PCD (polycrystalline diamond), carbide or stellite.
