Makita, a manufacturer of high-quality professional tools and accessories, has released 40V max XGT Brushless 6-1/2” Circular Saw (GSH05) that combines faster cutting speeds with a lightweight and durable design.

More Cuts Per Charge
The 6-1/2” Circular Saw can deliver up to 290 cuts per charge in 2×10 SPF lumber on a fully charged 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah battery. The GSH005 features a 2-1/4″ cutting capacity at 90° and 1-5/8″ at 45°, with a 0-50° bevel capacity with positive stops at 22.5°, 45°, and 50°. The saw features an electric brake for maximum productivity. It features a die-cast magnesium base, blade guard, and blade cover provide a lightweight design; weighs only 7.9 lbs. with 4.0Ah battery (battery and charger included in kit).
Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS®)The GSH05 features the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS®), which uses Bluetooth® technology for wireless power-on and power-off communication between the equipped tool and dust extractor. Once connected via AWS, the AWS-equipped dust extractor will automatically power on or off when the AWS-equipped cordless tool starts or stops, running only when the tool is in use. This increases productivity on a single charge and reduces continuous noise at the job or work site.
Convenience Features
Convenience features include a L.E.D. light with preglow and afterglow that illuminates the work area, and a retractable extra wide tool hook that secures the tool when not in use. The GSH05 features a compact and ergonomic design at only 11-3/4″ long without battery.
XGT®: One System of Cordless Equipment and Tools
The new Compressor is part of Makita XGT®, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT® gives users one system, from core handheld tools like drills and impact drivers to equipment-grade products including high-capacity saws, rotary hammers, and power cutters – all powered by 40V max XGT® batteries.
