Masonite International Corporation recently finalized the acquisition of Endura Products. The company’s disclosed $250 million senior secured term loan proceeds, along with a combination of borrowings on its asset-based revolving credit facility and cash on hand, were used to pay for the acquisition purchase price. With the addition of Endura’s high-performance door frames and door system components to their product line, Howard Heckes, President and CEO of Masonite, shares his company’s excitement about the acquisition. The merger of these two businesses makes a stronger pact, and Masonite can’t wait to explore the potential of the new, merged organization to create ground-breaking new door solutions that speed up Masonite’s Doors That Do More strategy and optimize the company’s development potential. M-Pwr Smart Doors
Masonite Corporation’s M-Pwr Smart Doors were also recently recognized for excellence by four leading industry awards programs in October:
The doors are unique in that they are the first residential outside doors to incorporate power, lighting, a video doorbell, and a smart lock into the door system. These doors are called Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors. They connect residential front doors to a home’s electrical system and wireless internet network using patent-pending, UL certified technology.
In the case of a power loss, an emergency backup battery can maintain system power for up to 24 hours, ensuring that the doors are “always on”. Homeowners may remotely programme and control motion-activated LED welcome lights through the Masonite M-Pwr smartphone app, as well as check at any moment whether the door is open or closed.
