The long wait for meeting face-to-face ended with MEM industrial 2022 and the show once again promoted national and international businesses in the wood processing and furniture industry.
Azul Ogazón, Director of MEM Industrial, the leading trade fair for the woodworking and furniture industry in Mexico, gave the report on the results of the 2022 edition of the event, which reached more than 4,000 national and international visitors.
In this regard, Ogazón emphasized that “one of the most important contributions of the 2022 edition was the promotion of businesses related to the industry at a local, national and international level, since the event was attended by professional buyers from 11 countries, among which the United States stood out. United States, Spain, Italy and Colombia, as well as visitors from all the states of the Mexican Republic, especially from the Bajío, Central and Western states of the country”.
Regarding the content of the fair, the Director of MEM Industrial highlighted that the fair covered the entire supply chain, from the forestry sector to Industry 4.0 applied to the transformation of wood and furniture, and that the conference program was composed by 17 panelists and 7 mentorships focused on three thematic axes: Innovation, Circular Economy and Design.
Finally, other relevant milestones were the second edition of the COBO2 awards of the National Chamber of the Wood Industry (CANAINMA), as well as the awarding of the winners of the third edition of the “Make-A-Ton Makers for Good, Reinventing the Industry of furniture”.
