We’re not only delivering a more stable product, we’re delivering some impressive, ground-breaking new technology that is going to increase user efficiency, provide more capabilities for our customers, and carve out more market share for our solution.”

A few noteworthy advancements contained within Microvellum Version 15.4 include:

Added Support for the Latest AutoCAD 2017 Platform

A key part of Microvellum’s development strategy includes taking advantage of the latest development platforms and technology. Their goal is to provide the best user experience and performance possible through innovative technology and trusted partnerships. Their version 15.4 software now offers support for full version AutoCAD 2017, AutoCAD Architecture 2017, and Toolbox OEM 2017. This latest release of the AutoCAD platform provides users with unmatched design, drafting, detailing, rendering, and engineering tools and performance.

Introducing: Extruded Product Builder

This release includes a powerful new tool unlike any other available in the woodworking industry for creating custom products such as custom nurse’s stations, bench seating, kitchen bars, hotel reception areas or other custom diewalls. The easy-to-use interface provides users with tools to transform simple profile geometry like rectangles, circles, arcs into 3D models that are ready for analyzation and manufacturing. It features an industry first technology for unfolding and machining complicated parts such as diewall skins. It also provides the flexibility to use sections and construction lines from existing submittal drawings to build products that are exactly to specification. It’s available at no extra cost within Microvellum’s Enterprise tier.

Enhanced Solid Model Analyzation

Microvellum’s Solid Model Analyzer transforms 3D solids into fully machine-ready products in a matter of minutes. This unique process empowers users to convert 3D solids created in Inventor, SketchUp, or other solid modeling applications into Microvellum products that can either be manufactured or saved to a product library for future use. This advanced feature recognition technology analyzes all parts and automatically assigns tooling and creates tool paths. The latest version of the Solid Model Analyzer tool provides tighter analyzation results, improved part rotation recognition and improved performance. It’s available at no extra cost within Microvellum’s Enterprise tier.

New Advanced Grain Matching

Users that require grain matched optimization have a powerful new feature available – Cabinet & Room Grain Match Control. This innovative new tool allows users to grain match individual cabinet parts like doors and drawers or even the entire room. When optimized, grain matching takes priority and groups the parts together as instructed.

New Optimization Strategies

Microvellum’s manufacturing engine can already be configured to automatically double pass small parts within a nest, but it also has a new feature designed to help users deal with poor vacuum on CNC routers. Controlled within the nest settings for each processing station, small parts can be optimized to the center of the sheet, where vacuum is commonly the best.
