Momentive Performance Materials Inc. will showcase a new ultra clear liquid silicone rubber 9LSR) grade expanded from the ultra clear Silopren LSR 7000 Series Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition in China from June 9 to June 12. This next-generation Ultra Clear LSR grade combines Ultra Clear LSR Technology with a specialty polymer technology, enabling luminaries to be equipped with high flame resistance above UL 94 flame class rating of V-1.
Momentive has been working with global experts in the lighting industry such as Khatod, a leading manufacturer of optical solutions. “This application is very technical. Khatod was searching for a material able to comply with the various optical, mechanical and moulding process requirements needed for the realization of unique, high-performance optics,” said Dieter Wrobel, Corporate Fellow at Momentive. “After in-depth analysis and numerous laboratory tests, Khatod determined that our Ultra Clear Silopren LSR 7000 liquid silicone rubber series was an ideal match for their application.”
Khatod recently utilized Momentive’s next-generation ultra-clear LSR in its SIO3 Silicone Lenses. These lenses are a breakthrough in LED lighting technology and are the world’s first range of free form lenses made of LSR optimized for the most popular HB and COB LEDs.
Representatives from Momentive will be demonstrating the benefits of the Silopren LSR 7000 series in booth 11.1 A39 at Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition.
